The Story Behind the Stories
I grew up in the Midwest surrounded by six brothers, a father who resembled a big leprechaun and loved to tell stories, and a mother who portrayed the Blessed Virgin in the city parade. A rich source material for storytelling.
My love affair with New York City began at age seven during a solo adventure to find Central Park Zoo. After earning my Master's Degree in Directing from Boston University, I made the city my permanent home, shaping a multi-hyphenate career in directing, acting, teaching, and producing. In the past several years, writing has become a guiding force in my artistic life.
The Art of Truth
For me, my life is an artist is an exploration of truth and its permutations. My work examines the complex intersections of justice, identity, family, and belonging, always asking the difficult questions that I believe matter most. Whether crafting intimate stage dramas or sweeping feature films, TV series and even Public Speaking my storytelling approach remains consistent: challenging assumptions, revealing hidden truths, and finding hope within struggle. Exciting and challenging is just the way I like it.
